All That Survived The Crash

» pettycrux 08/27/08 16:12:34  » About ou Album » comments: 0

All That Survived The Crash We have just finished working on our first album, "All That Survived The Crash". Over the course of its production, we gathered help from many talented and key people from the industry of Miami. This record was engineered and produced in collaboration with David Lopez Lopez, who for the past 6 years has been working alongside of Rudy Perez, and has been involved in major productions from Christina Aguilera, Ricky Martin, and many other artists. To mix the album we brought in Steven Gordon, a talented producer with over 40 gold records. He has worked with artists such as Lenny Kravitz and Joss Stone. Mike Fuller was in charge of mastering , He is an authority in the industry winning hundreds of awards throughout his career. Fuller has worked with many of the great musical influences in music history including such legends as Eric Clapton, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. We hope you guys enjoy it, we will have it available soon. We would like to extend our thanks to all the people that had a hand in; Andres Abreu for your kick **** playing. David, we could not have done it without you, thank you for giving us the sound. Steve; thanks for working so tiredlessly and trully making the songs. Mike it is truly an honor and a pleasure to have you work on our songs as if they were your own. thank you all.
R n R,
Clemente

Bio

» pettycrux 08/27/08 16:09:20  » about us » comments: 0

Bio etty Crux. Trying to solve this phrase might turn out to be as
significantly pointless as whatever the name actually means. Each
of the guys will give you a different explanation, and you can
either dismiss it as nonsense or emphatically agree. In the end
it's probably best to come up with your own.

The Petty Crux story is as intriguing (if not confusing) as it's
name. Take as an example: where are they actually from? Surfing
the net will give you conflicting answers. Miami? Brooklyn? Los
Angeles? The truth is--all of the above.

After ditching their band in Miami, Clemente and Jay started
filming a documentary called Name Our Band that would follow them
across the US as they searched for new band members. The project
eventually lost momentum; however, it did manage to discover Steve
in Colorado and adopt the fan-suggested-name, Petty Crux.

Old friend and bandmate Paul Hoover joined shortly after when the
others decided to base themselves in Los Angeles. By this time
Clemente was living in NYC working at an ad agency and playing
solo acoustic shows in the city. Steve was finishing his degree in
Denver while Jay remained in Miami. Paul warmed the bed for them
in LA, anxiously awaiting their arrival. For close to a year Petty
Crux was scattered across the country like this, but the guys still
managed to write and record songs without ever being all together
in the same room.

Finally together now in LA, Petty Crux have created a unique
combination of influence and style that explodes into an addictive
and diverse rock sound. Their most recent releases are songs that
dance in and out of delicate, atmospheric melodies and aggressive,
powerful guitar drives. The soul of their music, however lies in
their creation of haunting and evocative vocal harmonies.

All the members of Petty Crux write and all of them sing. A
collaboration like this can only be a recipe for something huge.
Already playing both statewide and internationally, the band is
sure to live up to their riddle of a name.
